Developed a line of
Passive Infrared (PIR) motion sensors. Specialist in “pet immune”
designs that were able to detect humans with a high sensitivity and
reject animals. This allowed sensing intruders without having false
alarms due to house pets. Designed infrared Fresnel lenses
suitable for all kinds of motion sensor products. Wrote
a Visual Basic (VB) simulation program that allowed entry of a
lens design and the program predicted the ‘Walk Test’ response
waveforms. Developed a VB program that replayed stored files of infrared
and Doppler microwave walk tests and allowed processing and fine tuning
detection algorithms.
Expert in the electronic circuit design
of PIR motion and occupancy sensor products, with skill in designing filter amplifier
circuitry that flattens the response of the pyroelectric detector over a
wide bandwidth. |
