Microwave

Developed Dual Tech (Dual Technology) motion sensors that used infrared assisted by Doppler microwave to detect intruders. Conceived and eventually patented detection algorithms from the Doppler waveforms of human targets and was able to differentiate them from house pets. The novelty of this patent was that it illustrated a unique way of combining microwave and infrared tracking data, where each sensor type synergistically reinforced and verified the statistical data of the other sensor type. The resultant detection algorithm was more robust in rejecting non-target signals and more sensitive in detection of weaker valid targets.
