Developed a commercial security systems product that used a thermistor probe to measure remote temperature and a microcomputer (MCU) to measure ambient temperature. Originated a calibration, done after the program is loaded into the MCU that uses a piecewise linear approximation to correct for static MCU errors. This product is the Honeywell 5821. Consulted with the head of the Honeywell Thermostat Division on temperature measurement and calibration techniques.
