Developed a commercial security systems product that used a thermistor probe to measure remote temperature and a microcomputer (MCU) to measure ambient temperature. Originated a calibration, done after the program is loaded into the MCU that uses a piecewise linear approximation to correct for static MCU errors. This product is the Honeywell 5821. Consulted with the head of the Honeywell Thermostat Division on temperature measurement, wireless approaches and calibration techniques.
